Title: Is it possible to exclude users from the company directory?
Post by: bmr76 on July 20, 2015, 07:33:09 PM
We are about to implement a CRA that allows callers to search the company directory.

However, there are a few individuals who I would like to remove from being listed in the company directory. We don't want cold callers and other undesirables to be able to reach our senior management directly.

I could just remove their names, but this would cause issues elsewhere, such as how they are listed in the MiCollab chat client.

Does anyone know of a solution for this?  Thanks!

Flag the mailbox as unlisted.

Well.. That was pretty easy.

Thanks a bunch! I'm a little embarrassed that I didn't bother look through the mailbox settings.

Very much appreciated.

bmr76,

You will most likely want to set Private Extension and Mailbox Number along with Unlisted to Yes.

Thanks,

Some clarification on Unlisted and Private mailboxes:

An Unlisted number will not be included in the directory, but can be dialed if the caller knows the extension number.

A Private number is included in the directory and can be dialed by a caller who knows the number, but the associated mailbox and extension number information are not available to the caller; only the name is played.
