Title: Cannot backup Mitel 3300 ICP MCD 4.2

Guys,

I am trying to make a backup of a Mitel 3300 ICP.
The java is working fine. The buttons are not greyout. When i press the backup button the system takes alot of time before giving an error that the backup cannot be done.

Can someone give me advise how to resolve this problem

Check the maintenance logs to see why the backup is failing. If you have embedded VM enabled, a stuck VM port is a common problem.

Here's something I guess I don't know:
When doing a backup does it stop the embedded VM?  If yes, for how long?

I've never had a problem with it but at the same time I'm not sure if it stops it or not.

If you check the back up Call History and Voicemail boxes, then yes the embedded vm does go down during part of the back up process.

I had this error a few months back. I had a previous backup, so I just rebooted the controller in a maintenance window and it corrected itself.
