Title: Single Digit Access to Voicemail
Post by: bluewhite4 on June 23, 2015, 05:15:23 PM
Been a while since I've had to work on a 200 ICP.

Customer swears up and down that could just dial 7 to reach voicemail, and sometime in the last 3 weeks it stopped working. (Been 9 months since one of my techs was onsite however.)

Any suggestions on the best way to do this? 700 is the HG for voicemail.

Best way to do this is change the Hunt group to 7, provided there are no conflicts, since the hunt group is 700 already, making the single digit 7 do the same thing is almost impossible.

This has been driving us nuts. From your reply does that mean that while not easy, it can be done?

It can be done, but every other extension or  feature code must be changed first so their is nothing that begins with the digit 7, then just go into your voicemail hunt group and change the hunt group access code to 7. The difficulty of doing this would depend entirely on your existing numbering plan.
