Title: Mitel 3300 MWI (Envelope Button)/ Multi Color LED
Post by: delvc4 on June 12, 2015, 06:28:02 PM
I am new to the 3300.

The MWI (envelope button) flashes when a message is left in the mailbox for the extension yet when the user presses the envelope button it does not call the voicemail (embedded). When pressing the button with handset on hook it just displays "No Messages" on the phone display. When you lift the handset and press the button, nothing happens. Is this programmable?

Also, multi color Led is not an option in my class of service form. Is it not available on version 9.0?

Any help would really be appreciated.

Thank you.

Multi Color LED isn't avail in 9.0
I think that became avail in MCD 4.2  (maybe 5.0)

If you pick up your handset and press the MWI does it dial into VM?

Another thing you can try is to leave a vm for that extension and then dial in and pick it up.
Also you can check to be sure that it has a MSG by entering the command "locate feature ext <extension> "

Thank you.

No it does not call into the voicemail system if you press the button. The extension does have a message because if you lift the handset and manually call the system - you can access the messages.
