Hi,I am new to this forum,so please go easy on me. I have a Mitel 3300 and ASU in my school.We were able to release our electric strikes on our doors by dialing 9 and a three digit code on the phone. It has stopped working and when you dial the code now you get a busy signal and the screen on the phone says out of service. I believe we are using analog ports for this and any ideas where to look in the system to figure out whats going on would be helpful. I am NOT very knowledgeable so any help please explain in stupid person terms,Thanks

The first thing we need to know is what the code you're dialing is supposed to do.
(Please don't put it online here)
Go to maintenance commands and enter "Locate number <code>".
Post the results here. That will give you a place to start.

When I did the search this is the reply from the system
"The number is not in use."
How do I check and see if my ASU is working?

To check to see if you ASU is up you can stat an extension that's on it.
"stat exten <extn>"
Do you use 9 to dial out normally?
If yes, look in the ARS digits dialed form to see if you see your code or something that looks like "9+3 digits to follow"

I would suspect that using a 9 means its a trunk rather than a pots door opener.

98 Unknown Route 29
This is what I found in the ARS.We normally dial 8 for outgoing calls.I can make outgoing calls with 9 as well.
I should add that I have two valcom boxes in the phone room as well. Which I think is part of the door release system.

What are in routes 28 and 29?

Can I assume that one of those codes corresponds to your door box code?
