I'm finding that a lot of staff are either intentionally, or unintentionally, taking their MiCollab / UCA agent out of their startup folder. However, that is now my go-to app for desktop sharing. it's just so easy to start a web sharing conference when you are already talking to the person.
Has anyone used an Active Directory GPO or some other script to keep the Mitel Client in the Windows Startup folder? if so, what worked best for you?
Thanks.

Here is something to explore:
http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-run-programs-automatically-on-windows-7-system-startup/
I know it references local policy, but I just verified a Group Policy on Server 2008 and you will find the same Scripts object as referenced in the link above. So I would suggest creating a GPO for the UC users and add the path to the executable as logon script under that policy- Example path "%programfiles(x86)%\Mitel\Unified Communicator Advanced 5.1\uca.exe"
Let me know how that works out for you

Nice tip

In my case, the exe was here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Mitel\Unified Communicator Advanced 6.0\UCA.exe
I tested it for just me. Now I'll roll out to everyone. I am hoping for not too many complaints.
Thanks.
