Hi,
I have a query with regards to setting up a group. The scenario is...
I have 1 extension number available that has a outside direct dial number. I then have another 3 phones that i've created that ring internally with a 4 digit number but because of limitations they dont have a BT direct dial number. What im trying to achieve is that if the phone that has a outside line rings i'd like it to pass straight on to any of the other 3 numbers?
Leaving the main number available to at least call out. If this makes sense?
Its more of a helpline system so will only be taking calls in general.
I've tried creating a hunt group then dropping all the required internal ext. numbers inside it but it just rings on the main number only?
Look forward to any assistance, thanks in advance.

Perhaps you can consider renumbering the phone with the DID line to a non DID line. Then use the DID number to set up a ring group to ring the three phones or put the DID as a multi call key on the phones that needs to answer it.
Secondly,
You can put the extension number of the DID phone as "multicall key" on all the other phones.

what version of software are you on?
Check that the hunt groups isn't set to terminal. If set to terminal it will always ring the first person in the group unless they are on the phone. Changing to circular, the primary ext for the group changed with every call.
If you are on R8 or higher look at a cascading ring group and put the main ext at the bottom of the list.

The software version is 9.0.2.18

use a ring group set as cascade when a call hits the ring group it will ring the 1st member then trip to the second if not answered etc. Time it rings is set by cascade ring timer.

Thank you all very much for the info. I will give this a try.
