Title: MCA 6 Client Issues
Post by: BarryH on April 29, 2015, 03:39:23 PM
We are using MiCollab 6 in conjunction with our 3300. If we send a web conference invitation to someone and want them to be the presenter, then they are prompted to click "Share" and download the web conference client. However, the client does not appear to be a properly signed application and web  browsers think it is malicious. Mozzilla won't let it install  at all with many dire warnings. IE won't let you run it but after a couple dire warnings you can download it and double click to install. Techies can get around this, but the average user would not be able to install this client. Anyone else run into this or have any suggestions?
The other issue we started running into is that when a user clicks on the "Share" link that should prompt the download of the client, they get this URL: mitelcollab://vucc.xxx.com/0191090/en-us, which of course the web browser cannot understand. Sometimes clearing the browser cache fixes this but not always.
Thanks!

My apologies if you've already tried this, but I would think you need to purchase a certificate (godaddy, etc) and install it on the MAS.  That's the only thing that comes to mind immediately.

Actually we just recently got the certs sorted out. We use Digicert and have certs on the MBG and the MiCollab server.

Will it work with wildcard certificates?  We seem to have our certs setup properly and visiting https://mas-server.com displays a validated certificate but when trying to download the file it is still blocked and says publisher unknown.
