Title: Call Routing Alternatives
Post by: SUSD on April 27, 2015, 02:51:07 PM
3300 MXe 2-Clustered Rel 4.2 / 10.2.0.26_2  EMB-VM 6-SX200 10-ASU

So I'm linked to a SIP system. My ARS takes any 5xxx extension you dial and sends it over no problem.

On my Mitel I have the DID's. If I want to use an existing DID and send the call to a SIP extension.
I have to Call Route the DID to a 7xxx number, Sys Spd Dial 7xxx to 5xxx SIP extension. Kind of a pain and limited call routes to do this with.

Any suggestions on another way for me to transfer these ?

Are you trying for forward a 7000 DID to a 5000 extension number on a Busy/RNA or are you trying to route a DID that comes in on one system and ring it to a phone on the far end?

If you're trying to forward on RNA/Busy then the way you are doing it is correct.

It you want the 7000 DID number to always ring a 5000 on the other system (or if you want that 7000 extension to be registered on the other controller, then simply create a speed call 7XXX with the actual number of 5XXX.  Be sure to tick "override toll restriction".

Ok,

Thank you very much Ralph,

Too much thinking on my part. I put the DID number in the system as a phantom to play with the routing options. So when I tried using Speed Dial, it didn't work.

Took the phantom out and the speed dial works perfect.

Thanks !
