Hi all, new to the Mitel world, just had 3300s installed at 3 locations, NuVoice server at head end. Each location has it's own 5485. Here at the head end we have the paging unit wired to a 1 watt amp, from there is goes to a 150 watt amp, which feeds all speakers that are configured as a star topology. If we don't have the 1 watt amp, pages can not be heard even if the 150 amp is turned full blast. With the 1 watt connected, pages are loud and clear and we can have the big amp turned down. The issue is both the amps are from the old phone system and from the early 90's. Can anyone out there suggest a better amp setup?

Make and model of current equipment would be helpful. I would think you are running a 70V system. If I was to suggest a new amp it would be a Bogen TPU250.
The TPU series are designed to connect to phone systems and have a 600 ohm page input.
