I need a way to have a user make a custom recording. (We have a Mitel MiVoice Office 250, just migrated from 5000)
Basically we need the golf shop to record the course conditions daily. When people call in to the golf shop menu, they have the option to hear the course conditions. I set this up as a simple call routing announcement.
The problem is that I need a way for them to change this daily. It needs to be idiot proof, and I really don't want them having the possibility of changing anything else accidentally.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Why not have it timeout to a voicemail box and have them change the greeting each day.

If you set them up as an administrator they can re-record the greeting for the CRA however the potential for messing other menus up exists.
One option is to use a non-associated mailbox instead.
Create a non-associated mailbox (this is where they will do their recordings
Create a CRA with no greetings
Set the timeout to transfer to the new mailbox
Point your AA option to the CRA
The pro shop staff will be able to change the greeting just like a regular mailbox and will not be in an area to impact other greetings.
One this to watch for, because this is a mailbox the caller could leave a message that would likely not be heard for some time.

Hershel is right on the money! But I'll add that there's a flag in non-associated mailboxes now, DESIGNATE THIS MAILBOX FOR PLAY-ONLY, that will prevent callers from leaving a message.

dwayneg - That is great information, I didn't know that.

Hershel,
Most likely you didn't realize it since an Associated MB does not have the function associated with it and that is the majority of mailboxes that are used. That is why you always make that application a Non-Associated MB so it doesn't require an Administrator to do the recordings and you don't have to give out access to the Administrator MB to a non-administrator.
Thanks,
