Title: DCHP Option 43, Add gateway error on 5320

A old 5320 that worked once upon a time...plug it in, powers up, waiting for DHCP then DCHP discovery, and it say using option 43 add gateway error appears and it restarts.  Its a perpetual loop from there.

Any idea's?

Is the gateway reachable from the phone?
I believe they have problems if it can't reach the gateway.

I know option 43 is the "new way" but I never had any luck with it...I had to go back to 128, 130, ect

Is your DHCP server supplying option 3?

Unclejemima,

Can you post your Option 43 string so we can see it, or do you have more than one 53xx phone that works and only this one doesn't. If that is the case check the firmware version as it boots up, you may just need to statically assign everyone one time and let it download the latest firmware from the system and then default it again.
