Title: So, any gotchas going from 5.0 to 7.0?

Title says it all really...or will it be worth waiting for 8.0?

It's a straight forward upgrade, no different than going from 5 -> 6.
Remember that if you stay at 5 then you would probably find yourself having to do an upgrade in a hurry if you have an issue as you are more than one major release behind.
