Title: forward a main incoming number to an annoucement line
Post by: mayerfeld on February 10, 2010, 10:05:23 AM
On a day like today, with a lot of snowfall, many of the calls coming in just want to know our schedule.

Our normal setup is for a human to answer the main line calls and only after 5 rings for the auto-attendant to pick up.

How can I change that for a day like today, where calls would be routed immediately to our announcement extension, which would then dump them into the auto-attendant if they need more help?

The main line is currently set up under "Multi-Level Auto Attendant Configuration" to a voice tree of extensions (which, again, only picks up after 5 rings).

Can I just forward all calls to that announcement extension?

Thanks!
Eli

Hi Eli,
Under the trunk service assingment form poiint your analog trunks to your auto attendant hunt group in NIGHT 2 mode.
Then when you don't want to answer the calls and have them go straigt to AA, put your system into night 2 mode.

How do I set the system into night2 mode when I need to?

Thanks

on second thought, the calls are not coming in on an analog trunk; they are on the PRI.

In call rerouting assingment form set the Night 2 always alternative to '2'

so its not something you can do from a handset. OK.

but given these lines/extensions are not analog, how do I set them ?

thanks again
