Title: MS Security Update Breaks ESM

Mitel released a bulletin regarding a recent MS Windows update that breaks some functions of ESM programming.
Here's the text from the Mitel update on this:

THE IMPACT OF MICROSOFT UPDATE kb3008923 ON ESM

Symptoms:
   The recent Windows Update KB3008923 is likely to break window.dialogArguments on secondary window. The ESM implementation of Ranging Programming, Multi-recording...etc is no longer working.   

Workaround
-Uninstall Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB3008923); or
-Use other web browser such as Chrome or FireFox (if applicable) to access ESM

removing the update does not cure the problem for me. However a later update of the same KB works OK again. It also broke ie tab in chrome as well.
