Hi gents,
I am Mitel fellowman coming from Unify OpenScape4000 (Siemens HiPath4000) and Cisco CUCM(E).
Started with Mitel few weeks back and I am already figuring my way out through the switch.
When I test my design I am using the DGT TRACE maintenance command. It provides comprehensive information regarding the DP and routes being used and how the called party is manipulated.
This is limited to the called number though.
DGT Trace started:
00390156810 : ARS 003 + 8, ARS 003 + 8, Route (3)
DGT Trace completed.
On the cisco there has been similar command to test the voice translation rules used to construct the (calling) number sent based on the digit translation profiles.
Does the 3300 has any way of testing the digit manipulation result on the calling number?

You can use the CCS TRACE ENABLE command. This will output the calls on digital trunks and XNET trunks. It can show you the exact digits outpulsed and received.
Do not forget to run CCS TRACE DISABLE after since it can fill up the buffer.

Does this apply to SIP trunks as well?

Never mind, found my answer.
Yes it does apply to SIP trunks as well, with slightly different messages.
CCS Tracing is enabled for continuous output display

You could also try SIP TAIL ON to see SIP messages.
