Title: Phone lights up, does not boot, no text displayed on LCD
Post by: maximumboost on November 05, 2014, 04:44:37 AM
I have 2 x Mitel 5224 IP phones that when plugged into a POE switch light up but do not boot the start-up firmware.
Nothing is displayed on the LCD screen.
Any suggestions?
Could the firmware be corrupt?
Is there anyway to write new firmware to the phones?

Have they ever worked, what happens if you plug them in whilst holding the Blue Superkey/Directory button down?

One was brand new out of the box and the other was an old phone that was in use.
What does holding the Blue Superkey / Directory button do as you start-up the phone?

Maximumboost,

Holding down that key on boot up will start the phone up in programming mode so you can change network features on the phone.

Thanks,
