Title: Adding users...is there a quick way?
Post by: spazmanian on January 05, 2010, 11:05:16 PM
I just starting working MITEL and have previously worked on NEC and Definity.  We are running the 3300 Communications Director(ver 4.0) and have the 5235 phones.  I would like to know if there is a quick way to add a phone, users, groups, etc.  It seems to take about 15 minutes for each user which seems a bit long?  I heard there was an easier way with like a wizrd or something and wanted to know how other people are adding phones, users, etc? Thanks

Well, the user form comes closest I think.
Allows you to create the phone, voice mail, COS, COR.
But --- Doesn't do anything for adding keys.  You can copy keys, once you've created a phone and keys you can copy to other phones.

You can do things via CSV files.   I haven't done it but perhaps v2win can jump in on this here.  I know he's become somewhat of an expert in inporting spreadsheets.

User form?  I am currently logged in as system and see under all the forms one called User Configuration but when I use it it does not anything about adding a phone?

again, this is the Mitel Communications Director (unless there is something easier) 4.0.

thanks

Look under system config-->>> devices ->>> User Confg
I'll try to attach a screen shot.
