Title: Embedded Voicemail not answering
Post by: SUSD on September 15, 2014, 04:38:43 PM
3300 MXe 2-Clustered Rel 4.2 / 10.2.0.26_2  EMB-VM 6-SX200 10-ASU  PRIs

Re: Embedded Voice mail - I had reports from users about calling a users extension and they never got connected to voice mail. I started dialing the ports, 4001, 4002, 4003, ah 4004 rings and voice mail doesn't answer. Same for 2 more ports.

So I tried to clear the ports and system gave me typical "Remove from User & Devices or Tel Directory first"  But I did not find any references to the ports in either of those spots. Now I'm at a loss on what to try next to resolve this.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

What are the results when you STATE them in maintenance?

Another thing to try is this. Using Putty:

Settings - Raw, port 2005

Issue these commands:

1st stop VM services with iPVM_Stop

Then start VM services with iPVM_Start

Retest.

jrg,

Yes !  Basically this worked for us. For some reason we had to use port 2002. We tried to do a backup before trying this, but discovered since the VM Ports were stuck, the backup would not work, as it wants to lockout VM during the backup.

But all seems well now.

Very much appreciated !
