My web UI shows I have 2 free licenses.
My first question is how does the system know to assign a license?
Is it ASAP when a phone is plugged in?
Then second, how does the system know to free up a license when I remove a phone?
We have been moving a lot of people around and I want to be sure I get an accurate count as I'll need to buy new licenses soon and don't want to get too many.

A license is consumed by each phone CURRENTLY ON LINE...as soon as a phone is unplugged that license is available for someone else. I have a church missionary organization with dozens of phones around the world that they only plug in when they need to call the U. S., so they need only a handful of licenses even though all those phones are programmed. This is true for IP, not sure if digital works exactly the same.
