When the operator calls, we cannot transfer the call. The transfer button appears diabled. We can transfer a transfered call from the operator.
Any ideas?

I believe that is the way it works for a console. (5550 consoles, 1000 consoles) You can't put it on hold and you can't transfer it.
This may have changed in more recent software versions. Do you know what version you are running?

We are on Release 6.0 sp2. Its not really something that has come up until we had a new operator manning the console. Never thought twice about it. Strange.

May I ask why you need to transfer the operator? They are the gatekeepers and do the transferring, that is the engineering thought behaind this restriction anyway.

Ralph is right, you can't transfer/put on help an operator, even in new releases. This is by design.
