Title: Resilient NPM
Post by: Mattmayn on July 30, 2014, 12:15:02 AM
How do I make Nupoint resilient? Do I split my ports across two 3300s or do they work just like normal IP sets?

NPM on MAS with MCD 6.0 on the 3300s.

They work like normal IP sets, so just make the ports themselves resilient to another controller.

I did that, rebooted primary to simulate failover and I didn't get audio from secondary. Looks like the ports answered, just no audio. If the ports are programmed as trusted, is there somewhere in the secondary/Nupoint that I need to associate this?

I'll look in the morning. Thought I took that directly out of engineering guide or something.

This is a standalone, right? Not a MAS?

It is MAS. I think I had some SDS errors messing me up. Sorting through that now and will test in a little while.

Ah ok. It may not work with MAS...I've only ever done it with standalone.

It works once you get all of the SDS errors fixed.

Also make sure that if the res MCD is on a different subnet you add the required network into the local networks list on the MSL for MAS or Nupoint
