I need a way to play a prerecorded voice message when an out going call is answered. Can this be done?

we are using a Mitel 5000.

So, you are calling out and when the person you are calling has answered and you want the system to play a message before you talk to them?

Are you trying to emulate an auto-dialer similar to a phone tree system that passes the callee to you if they answer?

If that is the case my simple answer is no.
