Title: Auto Attendant & speed dial extension
Post by: MarkD on July 09, 2014, 12:52:35 PM
We have two propertied connected by a T1.  To reach property B from property A you dial 7 plus the extension #, 7888.   When calling in from the outside you cannot dial the 4 digit # to reach property B.  Both properties have SX-200-ICP controllers.

I created a extension at property A, 501.
I created a speed dial sc888 to dial 7888.
I set ext 501 to forward always to sc888.

I can dial 501 from an internal extension in property A and it will connect to the extension 888 at property B.

When calling from an outside number, the Auto Attendant at property A states you can enter the desired extension any time.  When I enter 501 the call dials but returns to the Auto Attendant menu.

What setting is missing?

Thanks,

Mark

This would be no different that Call Forward External, you have to make sure COR is allowing it, Tenant and Device interconnect restrictions are allowed, and the system options are set correctly. Look in the docs or Google for Call Forward External on SX-200 and you will see it takes a bit of prep work, when doing it from the auto attendant you have to consider the VM ports as "the user"

I can see Form 20 lets you into COR groups.  What form gets you into COR?

COS has options 208 Call forwarding External-enabled.  Trunk options 312-319 enabled.

FORM 50-VM
MBOX#-501, Type-Transf, Ext-501

I was in hurry, so this isn't the most current, but grab a technicians handbook for the 200 and verify you have all the pre-requisites done...

Look here: http://pbxbook.com/mitel/sx200.pdf

And scroll down to page 147, make sure you have all the bases covered.

COR is not a "form", it is a value assigned to devices and is used in conjunction with Form 20 and ARS to cause restrictions/permissions in dialing.

Thanks for the replies.  I could not find the COS setting to make it work.

Form 23 ARS:  Route Definition
Route# - Trunk Group - Cor Group Mod Digit Entery
09                - 3                - 5                 - 1

This is the route used when dialing using a 4 digit# from Property A to Property B.  Do I need to created a Route# that tracks to the Abbreviated dial?

I am also thinking the issue could be in the Auto Attendant settings.

Since 501 is a forward always, is using the Auto attendant the same as trying to forward a forward?
