Title: UCA Chat Messages?

We do not currently use this, but I have a few questions before we start to roll this out:

1. What is the difference between the Nupoint Unified Messenger and UCA for licensing?
Does the UCA use the Nupoint for instant messaging?

2. And is there an instant message archiving feature?
We'll need to archive these for auditing purposes.

Any info would be beneficial.

UCA uses nupoint for voicemail. Not for instant messaging

I don't know about archieving....but i have seen message history in the account/user tab

Next release of UC should have chat for free, from what I've read.

UCA handles chat as a licensed feature. Add the licenses to your app record, distribute them to users through profiles.

Thanks.  I managed to get a license report.  If I read this correctly, I have 50 users and I believe the chat option is part of that.
