Title: Connect analog telephone to 3300 MXe III via ONS ports

Hi all,

I am using 3300 MXe III working locally with IP Phones. Now i want to connect 1 analog telephone to the ONS port.

I plugged it into every ONS port on my Mitel PBX which has 4 ONS ports and 6 LS ports but did not get a dial tone on any of them. Could you please let me know how to set up an analog telephone to work via ONS port?

Hello
first you need to define them under analog telephones and there give them the extension number.
Then they should work.

You will need to check that the AMB is programmmed first. Use the help file.

Hi all,

I browsed to ONS/OPS Circuit Descriptor form and choosed the Circuit Descriptor 1 with the default settings. But when I browsed Analog Sets form, I didn't see anything here. Please kindly help me this issue!

I am connecting an analog phone to port ONS 3 of Mitel 3300 MXe III (4 ONS ports and 6 LS ports) without any tone signal.

You need to go to hardware/modules/analog services units and see if the AMB card exists in there. If it does it may need to be programmed to get it to work. See the help files.

Hardware, Modules, Analog Services Units

Take a snapshot and attach, then we'll take it from there.

OK, my friend. Click "Change" and make it unit 4, which shouldn't be a conflict, make it match Installed Type, save and you can take it from there programming the other things you were doing.

I am a newbie in Mitel IP-PBX, there are a lot of documents so this made me confused. After having your instructions, I know that i have to focus on which chapter or which session of the document.
