What does this passcode change?

From the Help (F1):

This passcode is used for the Remote Programming feature and SIP peer SIP phones. The default passcode is the extension number of the phone. The passcode can also be changed by entering the Program Phone Passcode feature code at the phone or when using the Remote Programming feature.

This is great!  I have never been able to find anything using the help search. F1 goes right to that spot!
