Title: Tie trunks
Post by: Mattmayn on October 29, 2009, 12:33:41 PM
I am attempting to connect a 3300 Mxe running MCD 4.0 with a Nortel Option 11 using PRI. Not being successful any suggestions?

Should work via qsig if your Nortel software is at a version that supports it.
If not, a straight T1 with Digital E&M will work.

What PRI setup have you got running,I would recommend QSIG. as I have seen this working fine Also, what problems are you experiencing with the setup?

I had ours in the office running as NI2 with the 3300 as master.

The only problem I had was getting the clocks to sync.

We were able to get a link with QSIG but the D-Channel would not come up.

Who is master and who is slave.

I had a similar problem one the clock on the Nortel synced up the D channel came up.

D-channel is now up.

NI2 I'm (3300) the master.

Getting Call Barred on display, what causes this?

Called barred can be caused by the 3300.   COR is not correct or in COS the Public Connection is not allowed.

My bad, it was AT&T internal tech support. They have a maint contract on the switch.

Mattmayn,
'ATT' explains quite a bit.   If you happen to be in around Michigan, let me know.   We happen to be one of the largest Nortel dealers in Michigan.

I'm in GA, not quite your service area.

GA is close to us.  We'd just have to drive a bit longer, as in 16 hours. <g>

Of course our remote services center is really close.
