Good Day,
I just have a quick question, currently I have quite a few Mitel 3300 Enterprise controllers that I am standardizing that all controllers must be expanded. Is it okay to get MXE III hardware to put into to an MXE II, this are the parts that I was given from our reseller, as well what is the best way to expand the controller, is it matter of just putting the hardware in and the secondary controller will just begin to copy the current config files?
MXe AC Power supply--$405.00--Product code--50005084
MXe III Raid Sub system--$1,620.00--Product code--50006431
3300 160G SATA hdd 2 pack--$300.00--Product code--50006489
3300 MXe III Expansion Kit--$1,824.12--Product code--52002581
Thank you,

No, the MXe III hardware will be different.

MXE-II and MXE-III hardware component are not compatible with each other. Different bus speeds and drive interfaces.

I think the only compatible part would be the power supply

To make a system expanded you are going from the base 64 E2T channels and 64 echo cancellors to 128 of each. All you need to do is buy the proper expansion kit to truly go "expanded". You can add a second power supply and second hard drive on the base system. As suggested you have the right components listed but might need to make sure the ones being ordered are compatible with older controllers. The expanded kit is composed of two cards ( Processor card and echo cancellor card ).
IF you check the tech handbook under the FRU section you will see the MXe II and MXE III do have different part numbers for the RAID card and processor card.

I would add that the older raid card is discontinued

So is the expansion processor.
