Title: Transfer
Post by: super6 on June 03, 2014, 02:08:48 PM
I know this question seems kind of odd but i'm going to ask it any way.  We have a lot of docs doing dictation through the phone system but when we use our 800 number and have the operator transfer the call it never gets to the extension.  Typically when we call the extension 1949 internally we are prompted for a code.  Based on that code that is where the wave file is transferred.  However when we call the number and have the operator transfer us to 1949, we can see the file start to record but e are never prompted for a code.  I'm a bit curious how we can transfer from two different places and get two different results.  Anyone have an idea?  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks!

What is 1949 from the PBX perspective?  A trunk?  Hunt group?

I believe it's setup as a SIP trunk

Could the operator use it (rather than xfer) if required?
Another thing to try is to see if the xfer fails when transferring from another phone.

Xfer doesn't works from another phone.  We tried on a few phone.  When we try to xfer the phone we try to xfer from is the one that is prompting for teh code.
