Title: SIP Phones not showing in Directory

We have a problem whereby SIP phones are not showing in the Directory search (code 307).

Has anyone come across this? Does anyone know how to rectify it?

IPInstaller,

I assume that you have there description in the following format: lastname, firstname

If so there should be no reason that they do not show up and according to Mitel Tech Support, in previous conversations, there is not a way to remove names from the directory search; like with the Axxess.

You can however sort of move them to the back by putting a ~ in front of the name, which also removes them from the Voice Processor Dial by Name Directory. This will put a * in front of the IC Directory and move them to the end I believe.

Now that being said I have run into this issue over the years and found that deleting and recreating the extensions seemed to allow them to be included in the directory, but in the end I have not really found a sure-fire way to do it. I have not had all of one type of phone go missing from a Directory search however so that seems more like a design flaw or undocumented feature.

We have 8 SIP phones and none of them appear in Directory.

I have tried creating a User from the existing device and a mailbox. Nothing seems to make them appear.

We have logged a ticket with Mitel and will post their response.

Mitel's response is;

Currently the answer is No, however we do have a ticket open with our Design Team, awaiting a fix.

What version of software are you running on that 5000?
