We are moving in 4 months, keeping our 5000, but ditching the old digital Inter-Tel Phones and replacing them with Mitel IP phones. I am trying to get my 5000 to tell me every extension used on the system so I can make sure I order the right number of replacement phones.
We are running 6.X on the 5000. I did find a reporting section if you turn on the monitoring feature. I can run a report on Voicemail, but that is going to be incomplete because not every extension has voice mail.
Surely, there is a way to get this information out of dbadmin?
Thanks for your suggestions.

Highlight all of your phones, right click and click export to file 8)

You can get this directly from the Mitel System Administration & Diagnostics program, select your phone system and go to the Reporting tab, select Database Reporting, then Get new report backup, and after it completes go to Standard Reports and select Phones. If you want to get more "user friendly" report, you can select "All Extensions" then change Include to "Phones - All" and change Exclude to "All not specifically included".
If you mess around with reporting, you can get all sorts of nice reports.

Both answers were great. The quick export gave me a CSV file right away. And I see that the reporting from backup also offers that, plus much more.
Thanks.

Remember that since v. 5.1 you can convert digital phones to IP in a standalone programming session. No need to re-key everything.

Mitel will be handling all of that. Our local tech is very good, so I'm sure he'll pick the most efficient way if he can.
