Title: Mitel UCA iphone softphone disconnects when locked for a hour

Sorry guys about all the similar posts, but I wanted to keep them separate incase anyone else has similar issues in the future.

Our warehouse staff all got iphones to use with mitel UCA.

The phones, if on standby (locked) for about an hour or so, the softphone disconnect and the phone won't ring.

The user has to manually open up the mitel UCA app and then the smartphone connects.   Seems kinda silly to me as they have to keep going into the app and making sure its connected.

uh oh.  I just found this (see below) in the Mitel UCA Admin guide...not good news.

I'm sure there must be iphone UCA softphone users on here that can chime in...?

Haha.  I thought the same thing...only we purchased 6x iphone 5's JUST for the Mitel App to use as stand-alone from advice of the Mitel dealer.  I think they overlooked this as well.

The iphones are all Meraki managed now as well.  We put a lot of work into this just to change to Android... :(

Would the android devices not do this (timeout) ?

It doesn't timeout on mine.... Mine is connected to a Mitel 3300 though, but I don't think that should matter
