Customer is complaining, and we have heard it for ourselves, that sometimes during embedded voicemail message playback, the system will start to play a new or saved message, and then stop, and go back to the top level of the mailbox tree. Also the time it takes to access a mailbox seems to be longer than one would expect.
The system is a CX, configured with 16 embedded voicemail ports. Did a check of the ports within maintenance, while hearing the pauses and "drops" and couldn't find any issues with the ports or setup.
Anyone ever seen anything like this? Is it possibly the hard drive?

I'd suspect the hard drive.

If you have a phone plugged in off the front of the CX (via a power injector) does the issue occur still? If it does then that rules out the network, and points to hardware.

I duplicated it by calling in through the PRI today, so I would think that network wouldn't be the cause.

That was our thought too.

shot in the dark, but maybe try resetting the voicemail system to new
call the voicemail system and access the admin mail box and select option 1 (start a new installation and erase the old..)
You would want to schedule this to make sure and RADs are re-recorded straight away and get everyone to re-setup the mailboxes
