Title: System Speed Call Question
Post by: PC77375 on April 01, 2014, 03:20:40 PM
I have a system speed call 2XXXX that dials 8XXXX. When the original number is dialed, the phone displays the actual number 8XXXX. Is there any way to mask the actual number if I don't want users to know that they are being redirected? I tried adding both the original and real number to the telephone directory, but no difference. I thank you all in advance for your insight!

No.  There isn't a way to mask the actual.
You could just renumber 8XXXX to be 2XXXX.
Or if 8XXXX happens to be a hunt group you can just recreate 2XXXX as a hunt group with the same members.

This might work, too:

"Associted Directory Number", 8XXXX, CPN Substitution, 2XXXX. Save and test. This may only affect outbound now that I think about it. Worth a try.

It is a Speed call that resides in a cluster, so I'd rather keep it as a speed call.
Maybe a DN that forwards always?

In the telephone directory assign the 8XXXX number a name and mark it private.
