Title: SIP on 5360
Post by: willemk on March 27, 2014, 11:30:29 AM
I inherited a mitel 5360 through work that I want to use at home.

Problem is, I have a SIP setup at home and the phone isn't compatible with SIP.

If I switch it to SIP mode through the settings menu, after I reboot it does its DHCP business and says "install newer load." and then restarts after about a minute.

I figured all voip phones would have SIP support out of the box, but from what I'm reading, I need to update the firmware.
Is there a location for me to get this firmware?

Willemk,

It looks as though only the 5330 & 5340 are supported for their firmware versions on the Mitel website. The only way to get those though is to get ahold of your Mitel Dealer and ask them for it.

Thanks,

TE

Hey TE,

I was afraid of that answer. I don't have a go-to Mitel Dealer I can ask, do you have one that's nice enough to give me these files?

Willem.
