Title: New 3300 MXe-III
Post by: PokerMunkee on March 23, 2014, 02:37:21 PM
We just got a 3300 MXe-III at our work.  Did the upgrade path from an 10 year old SX-200.  Got a handful of old legacy Supersets/analogs, plus 40 new 5330e/5320e/5304 IP sets.  Using NuPoint for voicemail.

I have a couple questions that my phone vendor hasn't been able to answer yet.  Hoping someone here could help me.  This looks like a great resource and I have a lot of reading to do!

1.  Am I able to setup the Portal on our voicemail server so users can manage their programmable keys and enable/disable Unified Communications (voicemail to email)?  I setup an account on the portal for myself and it doesn't give me very many options.

2. I setup a DID number on my phone (added a Single-Line button with the DID extension).  It works fine but doesn't go to my main voicemail box.  I added the DID number as an Alternate Extension in my NuPoint's voicemail box but that didn't work.  It just rings non stop.  How can I have my DID go to my primary extension's voicemail box?

3. Our 5304 phones only have a single line with the date/time.  How do I get the extension # to show on the second line like it shows in the user guide?

That's it for now!

Add the DID as a system speed call that dials your true extension

Are you using a MAS server?

Will give that a try.  Will I be able to tell if someone is calling on the primary extension or the DID?

Yes,  using a MAS server.

The System Speed Call did the trick.  I'm not onsite to see what it looks like on the phone, so not sure if I can tell which number they are calling.  Guessing it shows up as my primary extension.

1.  Portal is for Voice Mail + Mitel Collaboration Advanced (MCA) <--purchasable feature - cannot program phone keys
You can setup desktop admin access on the 3300 (in User and Device Configuration) if users need to manage programmable keys through web interface.
Users can also program keys if you have Unified Communicator Advanced (UCA)

2. Call re-route Single Line Extension to voice mail in 'Call Rerouting' form (*Note: Call History logs will not store on the phone when a call rings a non-prime DN though)

3. Enable 'Hot-desk Login Accept' in the class of service of the 5304s to see the extension on the display

Thanks a lot, that did it.

What's the correct way to add another line on a 5330e?  I want to be able to put someone on hold, hit a button and call someone.

Add a multicall key with the same number as your extension.
