Title: Call Privicy Question - Mitel 3300
Post by: ralph on March 12, 2014, 11:04:45 AM
I have a user who's COS allows for Privacy Release.
They want other users to be able to barge in on the line.
But, there are times when they don't want people to be able to barge in.

This would seem to be why the "Call Privacy" FAC was created.

But, when the users dials <FAC><Outside Number> the line is still able to be barged in on.

Any suggestions as to why this might not work?

Hey Ralph. I thought when the COS is setup correctly when the user is on a call they will see "Privacy Release" as a key above the black line. Then pressing that allows others to barge.

Yes but my user wants normal mode to be "Privacy Release" and only occasionally wants to make the call private.

I wonder if an account code would work

What would an account code do?

Change the class of service of the phone during the call

Ah!  Great idea.
I don't think it will change mid-call features but I'll have that tested.

Should have read for the duration of the call. Enter the account code before dialing out.
