Title: Mass deletion of voicemail? Mitel 5000
Post by: TheKingofMean on March 07, 2014, 01:34:57 PM
Someone has been trying to hack our phone system, the poor girl at the front desk had to listen to 243 voicemails this morning that were nothing but a second of static.  Is there a way to batch delete voicemails?  Either DB programming or through the phone?

Thanks!

KingofMean,

I am not sure what version of software you have, but you could try right-clicking on the mailbox to see if there is an option to delete messages. If not then the only other option is to delete the mailbox and recreate or manually delete them through the phone. I think there was a way to do it through OAM if you have an EM, and it may work through a basic VM; although I am unsure of the commands to do it.

Thanks,

TE

TE,

Thanks for your reply!

It wasn't where I was looking, but I did find the option to "Clear message(s) from selected mailboxes"

5000 CP > Voice Processor > Devices > Mailboxes

Just right click the mailbox and blast away!

Thanks,
