Title: Display caller ID before pick up
Post by: sfi on March 07, 2014, 10:40:03 AM
Hello,

We have a bran new 3300 CX II in our company.

We have created some pickup groups and it works fine.

However, is it possible to display the caller ID on all the phones of a group so people can decide to pickup or not the calls ? Actually, the caller ID is displayed on the ringing phone and after pickup only.

Thanks !

Nope. But you could change the group to Multicall lines on each of the phones (assuming its ring all) and then you would get the caller ID.

Hi,

Thanks a lot :)

I have setup a multcall key on the phone and it works (with delay ring) .

We already have DSS/Busy lamp key associated to each of the phones, that means we will have 1 key for DSS/Busy lamp and 1 key for the multicall right ?

Sorry not quite sure what you mean. Multicall is for trunks and dss/blf is for extensions.

Not exactly. Both are different line-side applications. Multicall is an appearance of a DN that can be used to place and answer calls, while DSS/BLF is just a key that shows the state of a DN.

In this case if you wanted to have a non-prime DN appear on multiple sets, and at the same time also track the state of the prime DN of those sets, yes, you would use a multicall key for the DN you want to ring at multiple phones, and also have DSS/BLF keys for the state of those sets (either the prime DN only or any DN that appears on that set, it's a configurable option.
