I have intalled the UCA on my pc and when i try to dial out, I get a fialed to dail no more free lines. How do i fix this issue?
-
Are you trying to use the softphone or your deskphone?
Can you attach a screen shot of your client?

soft phone

Are you listening to dial tone when you attempt to dial using the softphone? That will produce no free lines because you line is in use ( listening to dial tone ) when you then tell the UCA to dial. Simply dial via the UCA and it will go off hook and dial. Then you only have to pick up the handset.

yeah, as soon as i start dialing, I immediately get the error...this is the 1st time we use this so i may have something misconfigured. can you provide me with a checklist of things to look @ on the ICP 3300 or MAS server. I may have missed something.

try dialing the number first not while you are listening to dial tone. i.e go to the UCA and dail the number. This will cause the UCA to grab your phone line and make the call. If you are listening to dial tone by going off hook and then telling UCA to dial it will fail because your line is busy already with you listening to dial tone. That is how it will work.

correction....i am using my desk phone. i don't have the option for a soft-phone in my MAS. I have a red x on my active devices...desk phone.
I am pretty sure it's the way i have it configured in UC mobile or UC tab of the MAS server. not sure... all help is welcomed. i can send screen shoots tomorrow.

My Solution was to reboot the MAS MCD and Gateways . ALL MY problem child UCA users now work fine . Hate to say that but no technical issues found except that a reboot fixed this exact issue .
