Title: 5330e Feedback
Post by: rhyanmeade on January 21, 2014, 10:04:51 AM
I have a v5 system that the 5330e's, while on speakerphone, echo everything the user does.  The phone is 3ft away and will even echo the keystrokes as they are typing/talking.  I've played with the echo profiles with no effect.  This only happens on the IP phones (digital sets work fine).  What settings am I missing??

Thanks for the help.

What is the software version of the system?  How long does it take for it to echo (such as a half second, or instant)?  What is the speaker volume level set to?

It's v5.1 SP4 if I remember right.  The echo is fairly instant, within a second or so.  If you turn the speakerphone down it does go away, but you can no longer hear the call at that point.

5.1 SP4 was a good release, so it's not that.

In System make sure VoIP Echo Canceller is set to Advanced.  Then in Devices and Feature Codes, Phones, Local, those should be assigned to Echo Profile 1.

Then System - Echo Profiles - 1

Turn on On Line Monitor.  Compare your settings to this screenshot.

bhackbarth -

Everything matches what you listed.  I guess I'll break down and call Mitel in the morning and see what they say...

Thanks.
