I would like to know how to configure a Mitel HX with multiple SIP accounts from the same provider.
The system gives an error due to the registrar address already being used.
Any suggestions welcome.

IPInstaller,
Each SIP trunk group must have unique IP addresses or Fully Qualified Domain Names (FQDN). If you attempt to create a SIP trunk group with identical IP/FQDN values, an error message appears. This is where you would need to use the Alternate IP/FQDN as some providers use multiple IP addresses to send SIP messages to the 5000 CP. You must add All IP addresses or FQDNs other than the primary IP/FQDN to the list for all calls to be successful.
Hope that helps you out a little bit.
Thanks,

Thanks TE.
So it is not possible to create multiple SIP accounts using the same registrar IP address.

IPInstaller,
Not to be rude, but what exactly are you trying to accomplish? Are there seperate accounts with seperate trunks from the same provider and if so then why?
Thanks,

Exactly that.
A historic setup whereby the SIP provider didnt put all numbers under the same account.
I will have to get them migrated to one account.
Thanks for your help.

IPInstaller,
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Not at all. Thanks for clarifying.

Yeah we found out this little shortcoming after adopting SIP fully. Would be nice to have separate accounts. What of you wanted to have 2 companies on one 5000 and do pseudo-tenanting (separate A/A menus, trunk groups) but use the same SIP provider? This would be a gotcha for the current 5000 SIP setup.
