Title: initializing call restricted phones

I created some extensions that are have restricted dialing.  When we plugged in a phone and tried to program it to that extension, the phone display said "Administrative lockout please contact administrator."

how do I program the phones? do I need to change the call restrictions first?

It sounds like you need to reset the phone (unplug and plug back in is a pretty easy way) and enter the set registration code along with the extension number you programmed. I assume these phones have never been registered?

the phones are cleared of any prior programming.  resetting didn't help...

I had the wrong phone type stored in the profiles...
