HI All,
This one needs to be done as we speak!
:o
Need some assistance again, here goes;
The product is 3300 MCD connected with 5540 IP console. The owner wishes that any incoming call that is waiting while the operator is on the phone, be rolled over to other extensions in the office.
I see in the call rerouting sheet that 1st and 2nd alt for the oper. ext is set to normal, I used the this, this, this, this, that, that, that, that, option and inserted two of the exts that they requested but when I called the oper, and asked my colleague to call also to see if it worked, his call rang out while I was on phone with the oper.
What am I doing wrong?
Dumb question now, is this even possible?
:) Thanks for all your quick responses!!

Yes that's possible.
Be sure you rerouted the key the call is ringing to. It may not be the same extension as the console itself.

Ralph, phew :o
Thank you for your reply, the incoming calls are are shown on the C/W on the console display and by the flashing of the answer key. How would I go about doing this? Nooob :-\

Start 1st by calling the console and trying to see what button they ring in on at the bottom.
There should be a number or a label.
Then log into the system and look up the form "Console softkeys".
See if you can figure out what the DN is from there. Then go to the Form "Call Rerouting 1st alternative", find a blank one (one the 1st one) and add do a This for all entries. Put the number you want to forward to in the last field.
Next go to the form Call Rerouting, find the DN of the cosole key and add the 1st alt number you just created in the 1st alt field.

Ralph,
the softkey for the operator is #2, directorynumber is 0, and dir. label is operator, key #7 is dir number 6181, label console1, which is the console that's in use at the moment. I did as you instructed, went to 1st, changed number 10 across the board to this, this, and the ext. i wanted it to 'forward to when the oper is busy on a call, then went to call rerouting and changed 1st to 10. ( I did not change call rerouting to 10 across the board, only at 1st.)
Called the oper. and then had coll. call, but same results, oper. claims the ext I routed it to didnt ring, what am I DOING wrong????
(tearing out my hair :-\ )

Did you assign a 10 to both 0 and 6181?

Hi Ralph/ Everybody :D
This is what I have set up so far.....
CALL REROUTING FIRST ALTERNATIVE FORM:
#10 this this this this this this this this ext 4129
CALL REROUTING FORM:
EXT: 0 1 5 1 ALL 10 12
EXT: 6181 1 5 1 ALL 10 12
Please let me know if this is what you instructed. I was also told that the calls will queue until the 'no answer timer' runs out prior to transferring to the routed extensions.
Question: The System Feature Settings, COS options is where I'd find the option to chg/lessen the 'no answer timer' correct? And if the setup starts to work, would lessening/chging the timer route the calls on queue quicker?
Regards,
Opalicious

It looks like you've got it.
It will only forward on RNA since a console is never busy.
