Hi looking to see what others have used to visually display when a station is ringing? I need some form of visual notification as well as the handset ringing (i.e a flashing light). I've seen some analogue visual ring detectors that I could connect via a mediatrix box.
If I could get a SIP unit out of the box that would work that would be my preference.
Thanks

MitelUK2010,
By the very nature of SIP I do not think that is a viable option for a secondary device without mirroring a port. Since I am not very knowledgeable on the MCD 3300 I would do a work around and use an analog port tied to one of your visual ring detectors and then set the phone and the analog port to ring at the same time; similar to an external overhead ringer solution except with a light.
Hope that helps,
TE

I would think a sip ata in a PRG would work to trigger a loud bell/strobe device

I think Algo has a SIP strobe device that would work for you.

analog unit and a PRG works for me on a couple of sites.

Appreciate the responses. The algo looks like it will do the job...... At a hefty cost. Il look into it. Thanks

Mattmayn,
Nice call! I learned something new today, yeah. I also looked further into this and Cyberdata has one that will even do Message Notification flashing as well. I will keep this in my back pocket for future projects.
Thanks,

Are you meaning additional display other then the message waiting light on the sets?
