Title: Mitel 3300 with 5312 handset external call transfer issue
Post by: armstr_a on November 26, 2013, 06:29:12 AM
Hi,

I've got a strange issue with an end users 5312 phone. I can transfer internal calls around no problem but if an external call comes in and i try to transfer it will not work? Any idea of what the cause could be or what settings i need to check?

Thanks in advance

Armstra

I'd make sure the carrier is giving you what you need for this to happen. In other words, trunk to trunk connect. Thanks.

I think that only the phone's COS would cause this.
Compare the COS of a know working phone and change it to that one.

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback. I can confirm that COS and COR are set the same as other phones that do work. I will add though having checked the system. The phone is in a dept pickup group and a ring group plus a overflow ring group for the same dept. When an external call comes in the user is only transferring the call to another member of her team that would be in the same pickup/ring group. Could this have any effect on how the phone behaves?

Shouldn't.
What exactly happens when you try to xfer an external call?
