Hi, looking to see if anyone had issue with no audio on 5485 up pager. Calling it I hear the relay click and the pa interface dings to alert for a page.
However I just get constant ringing in the phone setting the page.
No audio at all and I'm assuming this is because the call effectively is not answered.

Is it a new install? If it is have you followed the progarmming exactly in the Program an IP Paging Unit.
Just a thought.

Brand new install. I have followed the programming steps, however they are very "basic" and not much detail to programme.
Some steps it claims as optional, I.e page groups etc. to test I'm simply calling the DN of the paging unit. Standing beside the unit you hear it click. Is there a way to test it to prove if it's programming or the PA system?

Yes, its very sparse. The only thing I can think of is to check its registered with the 3300 and then check that you have connected it properly to the amplifier itself making sure the + and - are the correct way round and that the pager is connected to the correct port on the amplifier (amplifier docs for this).
After that I'm stumped I'm afraid.

The 5010 device is in service, rings but doesn't appear to answer.
What causes the pager to answer? Is it a signal from the PA system?

I would assume so..hence my suggestion to check with the amplifier docs to male sure you have it connected properly....

You need to direct page the unit

Tried that. I recall reading a way use a test butt to check for audio.... Any idea how this is done. Placing the audio pairs over the test butt?
