Title: SIP Trunks on Mitel 3300- 5212 and 5312 issues.
Post by: Jockey on November 06, 2013, 08:34:38 PM
Hi, Can some one help?
MXE II, MCD 5.0 SP 1. PR1, SIP Trunk License, also have MBG Virtual with SIP Proxy, but this has been removed from the application until we can sort the problems out.
We are trying to install SIP Trunks for a customer in New Zealand using Telstra NZ, but are having problems with no audio.
At present we are using our test lap system to set this up.
Now to explain fuller, Incoming calls OK, transfer OK, Conference OK,  Outgoing call from a 5212 & 5312 no audio, Outgoing call from a 5320 OK.
Also to confuse, sometimes after an incoming call to a 5212(successful) you can then call out from that 5212 ( successful).
Is there a problem (programmable option) associated with the 5212 &5312? with SIP Trunks.
Because Telstra NZ's SIP Trunks have not been certified by Mitel ( who want us to do the certification) Mitel will only help if we pay.
Any help, ideas?
Regards
Dave

Could you provide a wireshark trace taken on the network port of the provider router connection?

Hmm would have thought Mitel would help with the certification for free. Only helps them.

Strange your issue with the 5212 and 5312's. Not aware of any setting. They are fine otherwise?

You check they have all the same settings in them that the 5320 does. i.e check the sets themselves ( Hold up and down key, release down key. Then 234 to get into the phone settings ).Wondering if they are missing a gateway or something.

Thanks for all your tips & advice.
Our engineer made a couple of program changes and all started to work.
