Title: RAD Greeting/VM Question
Post by: pakman on November 04, 2013, 09:20:07 AM
Hello,

We use the admin vm to setup a call tree to mimic a IVR. We have some special hours coming up soon and the original messag is to long to change. I was wondering if there was a way to put some kind of greeting in front of the main message like a RAD or temp. greeting that will play or message then go right back into the main message they always hear? I haven't done anything with RADs before so I'm not sure if that's the best bet.

Thanks,

I don't think this will be easy and still preserve your existing programming.
But I think there may  be a couple of ways to do this:

1) Create a phantom number/mailbox that plays a messages and then forwards back to the original.
This will mean intercepting the original DID and remapping it via system speed call.

2) Create a phantom ACD path, let RADS play your message and then interflow back to the original mailbox.

Not an easy task but doable.

Thanks Ralph...I figured it was going to be tricky. Do you know with a true IVR I assume Mitel has some sort of product they sell would this type of issue be easy to solve?

thanks,

Not my area of expertise but I believe that Prairie Fyre IQ will do this.
